PLEASE HELP US WITH A RESEARCH PROJECT!
Dr. Amy Rossi, our veterinary dental resident, is conducting an important research project. It is often thought that boxers are more susceptible to a problem with the gums called gingival hyperplasia. This is an overgrowth of the gums which leads to bad breath, infection around the teeth, and eventually can lead to loss of the teeth from periodontal disease. She is trying to determine if this is truly a problem that is more common in boxers than other dogs, and if it is a problem that is passed down from one generation to the next.
Whether you have a boxer, or you have any other type of dog, please complete the survey below. We need as many dogs as possible so that we can accurately decide if this is more common in boxers, and maybe lead to a way of preventing it! The survey should only take 5-10 minutes. You can click on the link below, or answer the questions right on this page!
Please call the office at 505-471-0747 if you have any questions. Thank you in advance!
